The Lurin Valley Photo Tour covers the lower lands of the valley.
The Peruvian coast is commonly filled with deserts and valleys, in fact, Lima city was founded beside the Rimac River and before becoming into the big city it is today, it was a huge green valley and its natural borders were the southern and northern deserts today disappeared.
We will do some short hikes, so get ready to have an active day.
WHAT KIND OF PHOTOS WE DO?
Landscapes and some birds, insects and flowers.
WHEN TO GO?
The trip can be done for the whole year, except for months with strong rains in the Andes (not every year), usually from January to March.
SUGGESTED ITINERARY:
Leave the hotel at 6:00 a.m. We will drive east. First stop to drink a coffee or take a quick meal at Cieneguilla.
Then, we will continue climbing to get to Antioquia and Cochahuayco villages to shoot at the streets of the village and make a short hike by the local Inca Trail. We may lunch here.
We leave Antioquia and we start to drive back to Lima, on the way back we will stop in Cieneguilla stopping at the ruins of Huaycan to have a visit there.
We will continue driving back arriving to Pachacamac Valley. Depending the season we will hike along a path with an open view of the valley or we will hike at the green area known as fog oases.
Once finished this stage we will be ready to go back to the city.
WHAT TO TAKE?
Trekking shoes are better, plus trekking poles if you want some help to keep in balance.
We have different climates, depending on the season it may be very wet at the bottom, and very sunny once we climb. Ask for recommendations before.
Food: just some snacks and water.

HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE?
The hikes are around one to two hours at photographer’s speed.
OPTION: If you are not able to walk outdoors, we will try to customise it to avoid long hikes and trying to find spots with the support of the car.

PHOTOGRAPHERS TIPS:
– Depending the season we will have sunny days or in the coast or in the bottom of the Andes, so using some filters as Polarizer or ND should help.
– A 24-70mm, a wide angle and a tele lenses are good weapons for this tour.
– Tripod is not necessary but it may help if you want to carry it or if you would like to do some long exposures.

After pre-booking by the web form, or contact us by WhatsApp, chat or email, please send a list with names, passport numbers, tour date, meeting point and any request you think could be important, such as the kind of things you want to photograph, personal style, personal website, mobility issues, etc.
Remember we work only with small groups and private services.
Important:
Save the date with 90 USD. This advanced payment is not refundable if no show or by any cancellation reason and the remaining balance will be due before or at the time of the scheduled tour.
At crowdy places, for personal safety reasons is recommended to have a good backpack and never leave your stuff apart from you.
We allow any kind of camera.
The use of sport or very comfortable shoes is fully recommended.
Not included meals, drinks, personal expenses, travel/accident insurance, or lodging, unless we agreed to include them.
Additionals:
Trips outside Lima City include transportation. For trips in the city fully private transportation support is available under request and extra cost.
Other timing or arrangements for mobility handicaps or extra assistant under request and extra cost.
Photography lessons and special requests available (ask).
Conditions:
1. For better chances to find an open date, requests and bookings must be done at least 72 hours before the tour date.
2. If cancellation occurs is considered as No Show and booking advanced payment is not subject to refund.
