TAQUILE ISLAND
Taquile Island is one of the main tourist attractions in the Puno region. For many years their inhabitants were observing the movement of tourists in Puno and decided to get organized and innovate, so, they started to open meal services and then build rural homestays, after some years they got the government and private support to improve their services and at the same time recover their cultural heritage.
To get there is needed to join a tour operator in the city of Puno or if you want a more local experience you will have to go to the port and ask for the departure and return boats schedule.
Surrounded by an amazing landscape, is an ideal destination not for a few day hours but to stay one night and profit from the dawn and sunset of Lake Titicaca in one single place, enjoy the beaches and share time with these kind people.

La isla de Taquile es un destino principal en Puno, desde hace años los pobladores viendo el movimiento de turistas decidieron innovar y poner servicios, con el tiempo se especializaron, consiguieron apoyo del gobierno y de los privados para mejorar sus servicios y revalorar sus costumbres.
Para llegar es necesario tomar un tour operador de la ciudad de Puno o para una experiencia más local ir en el bote de los pobladores, para lo que hay que averiguar en el puerto los horarios de salida y retorno y los tiempos de viaje.
Rodeados de un espectacular paisaje es un destino ideal no solo para ir unas horas sino para pasar un día entero y una noche y así disfrutar del amanecer y atardecer del lago Titicaca en un solo lugar, disfrutar sus playas y su gente amable.
