Machu Picchu
Almost everyone knows that Machu Picchu was discovered by Hiram Bingham, who led the adventure to find the lost city of the Incas. After it was discovered, it took a few years to build the railway that actually connects Cusco with Quillabamba in the jungle. Over the years, the small village of Aguas Calientes turned into the chaotic space it is today, which has been impossible to regulate for proper and sustainable growth and to offer good tourism services.
Despite such poor administration by the different levels of government, Machu Picchu shines on its own and is visited by thousands of people every year. It is almost the symbol of Peruvian tourism and Inca culture on a global level.
A tourist destination that is practically on every good traveler’s list.

Casi todos saben que Machu Picchu fue descubierto por Hiram Birgham, quien lideró la aventura de encontrar la ciudad perdida de los Incas.
Luego de descubierta pasaron algunos años para que se construya el ferrocarril que actualmente sirve para conectar Cusco con Quillabamba en la selva. Con los años el pequeño poblado de Aguas Calientes se convirtió en el caótico espacio actual que hasta el día de hoy ha sido imposible regular para un crecimiento adecuado y con mejoras en los servicios. A pesar de tan mala administración por parte del estado, Machu Picchu brilla por sí solo y es visitado por miles de personas al año y es casi el símbolo del turismo y la cultura incaica a nivel global. Un destino turístico que prácticamente está en la lista de todo buen viajero.
