what kind of photos we MAY take?
Landscapes, ancient buildings and some birds, insects and flowers, people, and/or local activities.
what lenses are best for this trip?
A wide angle for landscapes (under 24 mm).
A tele if you want to shoot birds or some action (200 mm +).
A macro if you like to shoot flowers, textures and any kind of details.
A zoom 24-70 / 24-105 / 35-150 mm good for multi use.
On sunny days a ND2 or polarized filter, and a ND16 or ND1000 if we are in a season of sunsets and you want to shoot some long exposure. Tripod recommended.
when is best?
The trip can be done for the whole year.
WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO BRING?
Basically in summer (Dec-Apr) you must use sunscreen and fresh clothes. Paracas and Nasca temperatures are on average 24-32C and very sunny days.
During winter (Jul-Oct) long sleeves and a wind vest for temperatures of 16-20C on the day but mostly clear, at night temperature descends to under 15C. In these months is common to have some days with very strong winds, reducing the options of shooting and avoiding the navigation. If that happens we must make some changes to itinerary. And is helpful to have a windvest.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This is a photo trip in natural and protected areas, we will make stops along the way to hike a bit to take a look around, is not more than 30 minutes each time. In case you are not able to walk too much please tell us to modify the original plan.
